OTTAWA, June 21, 2001-For the sixth consecutive year, Storyteller,
Canada's Short Story Magazine, in conjunction with Bell Canada and
Corel Corporation, presents the Great Canadian Story Contest-Canada's
premiere showcase for fiction celebrating the Canadian experience.
This year's winners are:
1st prize: "A Cold Spring" by Cecilia Kennedy of Brampton, ON
2nd prize: "Stalag Wawa" by Steve Thornton of Nelson, BC
3rd prize: "The Medicine Line" by Jayne Barnard of Calgary, AB
