100 Wild Mushrooms is a delightful collection of one hundred anecdotes, the author’s memories of her childhood growing up in the sixties. The short stories are entertaining and a quick and easy read so if I only had a spare ten minutes here and there I could read one in its entirety. This book brought back so many memories from my own childhood, such as watching the first U.S. appearance by the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, or the thrill of going to the neighborhood mom-and-pop store and trying to decide on which penny candy to buy. This book was great fun and I highly recommend the read.
