The Reverend, Al Sharpton is scheduled to present as the keynote speaker during the kickoff of the Rebirth of the Hip Hop Nation Wrap and Back to School Party. The event takes place on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, 6 PM - 12 AM in Atlanta, Georgia. Clayton State University will host the festivities which will be held in the Student Activity Center. Tickets are $10.00 for general admission and $5.00 for students with a school I. D.

"This is not just a celebration; it's a 'Meeting of the Minds' production featuring community leaders, entertainers, and students," stated event coordinator, Phala Nazarene. "We're encouraging higher education and unity in the community. We are doing this by raising awareness for green initiatives, personal health and safety on and off campus. The event is both entertaining and educating. Some of the artists scheduled to perform are Brother J (X-Clan), Sheriese Nicole, and Mojo Swagger. The event is open to Georgia State University, Spellman, Morehouse. Clark, Brown, and all college students," she concluded.

Rebirth of the Hip Hop Nation is a documentary which depicts an in-depth perspective of the Black and Hip Hop cultures. It features and includes cameo appearances by Judge Mathis, Reverend Al Sharpton, KRS One and Minister Server Temple Of Hip Hop, Chuck D and Professor Griff (Public Enemy), Dres Black Sheep, Raekwon & The RZA Wu Tang Clan, Acey Alone Freestyle fellowship, Dialated Peoples, Stic Man Dead Prez, Afya Ibomu, Afeni Shakur, Dr. Taj Anwar and other activists who are a part of the movement.
