According to the Assoication Of American Publishers only 2% of all books published break into trible digits, and according to the Assoicated Press PublishAmerica has published 1,000 books that didn't sell a single copy.

There are thousands of small book publishers here in the United States. While many of these go out of business every year, some have been in business  for many years. Even the big New York houses only make a profit on one out of every four books.

So how do they stay in business? A very few make a lot of money, and cover the losses on the many that they loose money on. PublishAmerica and other publishers make enought money on their runaway best sellers to cover their losses and make a profit.

I am happy to report that my book, "I Thought I would Never Make It Through The 4th Grade" has made it well over the trible digit mark and should have already made PublishAmerica a profit. Learning
