On my author website news page, I've just added a link to a new recording of the Civil War-era song, "Somebody's Darling".

J. H. Hewett set to music Marie Revenal de la Coste's poem inspired by her visit to a wartime hospital ward. Gifted vocalist Wava Everton, tenderly accompanied by Lesley Modisette on the guitar, offers a poignant rendition of a song that is as timely today as when it was composed.

The song's haunting message is echoed in my newly released historical novel, WOMEN OF MAGDALENE, and the recording artists plan to perform at some of my bookstore signings.
