The Morgan Horse Blackjack has been made into a Breyer Model Horse!
Willow Bend Publishing is excited to announce that the first book in our Morgan Horse series, Blackjack: Dreaming of a Morgan Horse has been selected by Breyer Model Horses, a division of Reeves International, to be paired with one of their popular model horses.
As part of their new product line, Breyer Model Horses will introduce Blackjack, a stunning black Morgan Horse model. The model will be packaged with a copy of the award-winning book, Blackjack: Dreaming of a Morgan Horse. This is the first time that Breyer has paired one of their traditional-sized models with a contemporary story. Previously, they had chosen only classics such as The Black Stallion, Misty of Chincoteague, and Justin Morgan Had A Horse, to be packaged with their models. We are truly honored that Blackjack will be joining the ranks of such notable equine books.
In a few short years, the Morgan Horse series has garnered four national awards. Both Blackjack: Dreaming of a Morgan Horse (0-9709002-3-6) and Frosty: The Adventures of a Morgan Horse (0-9709002-2-8) have won the prestigious “Children’s Choices” national book award co-sponsored by The International Reading Association and The Children’s Book Council.
