Book review

This one is very special to me because it is written by my High School English Teacher.

But I love The Nightingale Protocol.  I'm going to give my sister-in-law who is a nurse a copy of it.  And she used to be DON at Hendrix Health Care, the nursing home in Double Springs.  I've never been around her nursing, but I hope she is the kind of nurse you describe in your book.

      People in all jobs should have the compassionate, caring attitude you describe.  Especially nurses, however, and also teachers.  There are many teachers who are just teachers for the job and the money.  They don't really like their students or try to do a good job.

      And even people who work in retail like I do now should have a good attitude toward their coworkers and toward the customers.  We have people in management at Wal-Mart who have terrible attitudes.  Our manager always makes me feel like a retard.  I try to overlook him because I know that I am conscientious and not a slacker.  But many days I go home with hurt feelings.

       And other than that, your book is a great reading experience.  You have a wonderful conversational style.  Knowing you, I can "hear" and picture you saying what you've written.  It is serious and has an excellent and inspiring message, but it is also humorous.  I love humorous.  I really liked the stories about throwing away any food found at the nurse's station and especially the one about throwing up when you had to empty the VIP bedpan and best of all, the one about the woman whose husband died when she was eating lunch, and she didn't even notice.

        Your writing style is great!  I'm sorry it has taken me so long and a query from you to give you some feedback.
