'WHAT HOPE HAVE YOU!"  is the story of  the hardships of Nelson Mandela and his people, which they  endured under the Apartheid regime. Apartheid must be reconciled and forgiven  but never forgotten, to prevent a repeat of the denial of human and civil rights in the world .  The world-wide compassion in mourning Mandela's recent death, is evidence of the interest in this subject and readers will be interested in learning about Apartheid and the legacy it has left through the daily lives of generations of people being denied education and other human rights.

     "WHAT HOPE HAVE YOU!" is the story of three families,   white., black and of mixed race over three generations.    It begins during the time of colonialism in South Africa under British rule, which segregated the races socially.   However under colonialism,  segregation  was not the law.   When the Apartheid government was voted into power in 1948, segregation became legal,  with severe punishment  and even at times, torture and death, for those who did not comply.
