To my surprise, the editor of the Ozarks Mountaineer expressed some interest in one of my poems about the area. I was surprised and pleased and hope to see it in one of the summer issues.
The editor asked if I was a prima donna, meaning, could he edit some of the poem. I was not about to tell him hands off--unless it has something to do with injection religion into a non-religious piece.
As I have written before, submit, submit, submit! Who knows what the result may be? Rejections, sure, they happen. But oh the glorious joy of one editor saying "maybe!"
