Meanwhile, at our table [The Gulf Coast Writers Association], I helped sign up seven new writing members which has us now close to 100 members!

As a new member of the 11-person GCWA Executive Board, my official title has been changed to 'Vice President of Programming'. Subsequently, I will be asking each member what workshops, talks, etc., they would like to see and hear since we are made up of a diverse group of non-fiction authors, fiction scribes [from virtually all genres] as well as poets and screenwriters.
I guess it goes with the territory. Southwest Florida is booming and so are we! This Saturday, in fact, we are having a sort of 10th anniversary party. If you're moving this way to the greater Ft. Myers area [a wise choice for any professional in such an uncertain economy] please contact me. I'll be sure to welcome you aboard.
