Though I was working on a screenplay for my science fiction trilogy, the publisher of new authors has agreed to give the novel the chance it deserves.
Here is an old review of Phase in its original form - "William Neven's The Final Phase is a massive, 715 page, science fiction epic saga arising from a prediction concerning the end of humanity. As galaxy-spanning civilizations dwindle and become threatened by an unknown alien presence, treasure hunters in search of an ancient artifact pursue references to an unknown planet and the mysterious name of Jesus Christ. The Final Phase is confidently recommended to science fiction enthusiasts as a sweeping, complex and dramatic saga of the far-flung future." [Midwest Book Review - 11/14/02]
Now titled The Final Phase [of the Human Race], the book features a new first chapter as well as some additional science with regard to the effect of space on time in its conclusion.
I am also hoping to introduce a new way of reading, but I will leave that up to the editors of PublishAmerica to see if they like the concept.
As far as my personal life goes, let us hope my 'demons' are dead. [After all, it does get a little tiring to be told you are going to die again. And, yes, I still have a copy of my 'Do Not Resuscitate' order issued back before I wrote this piece which, analytically, studies what caused the physical transformation of Christ and what it has to do with our species as well as our humanoid and hominid predecessors. [And, no, I was not suddenly inspired but, rather, steered toward what I had been after since I was a teenager. In that respect, perhaps the Holy Spirit was with me all that time. Who knows? All I know is that I prayed for an answer to my query from 'The Big Guy' - as I call the 'Essentia Supremus' - and this is what I eventually determined after dismissing other, fallacious conclusions.]
This chair is not your grandmother's rocking chair! In fact, you wouldn't want your grandmother or any loved one near it! So find a well lit room and enjoy an intense read of this Sci-Fi thriller.
