Perhaps that is why having my science fiction trilogy, "The Final Phase [of the Human Race]", being republished in its latest, improved form sometime later this year through the good folks at PublishAmerica could not be much better.
After all, when I read an account on MSN today [3/29/10] of a trilogy which fictitiously draws up an evil twin for Jesus Christ ["The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ" by Phillip Pullman], it reminds me why it is important that in "The Final Phase [of the Human Race]" I center on what caused the physical transformation of Jesus Christ after his death and what bearing it has on our own immortal state.
Like the popular British author, I read various accounts in the Bible prior to completing the project [which are noted in "Phase"], particularly focusing on the New Testament. Unlike him, however, I also did extensive research into the evolutionary phases of both our hominid and humanoid ancestors.
Subsequently - instead of relying exclusively on 'faith', if you will - I pursued proofs, this after initially arriving at a number of dead ends.
Could be that is why, unlike Mr. Pullman, instead of being an avowed atheist, I am a devoted Christian.
