What a treat to hear noted film critics Mack Bates, A.J. Hakari and Nell Minow rant and rave about all things Cinderella! They joined my producer Nikki Starr and me for a discussion covering such topics as:

Why the Cinderella fairy tale has been made into so many movies (40 or more!).

Favorite Cinderella movies.

Best/worst Cinderella films and performances.

With such diverse guests, you can bet there were disagreements, especially when I picked Jerry Lewis’ Cinderfella as one of my favorite Cinderella movies. A.J. Hakari’s rousing rant against Ella Enchanted also caused some concern. And so did Mack Bates’ mention of Pretty Woman as one of his favorites. Nell Minow surprised everyone with her delightful rendition of “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!”  She also gave a resounding endorsement for the 1950 Disney animated Cinderella and listed many other lesser-known Cinderella films that listeners should check out.
