Greetings fans and friends of Diana Hignutt. There's a lot going on around here (as usual). Last month, with much sorrow, I resigned my postion as Behler's Marketing Director for health reasons. The sizeable workload on top of my already too busy schedule seemed to weaken my immune system, resulting in almost three months of constant illness (primarily bronchitis). Anyway, I seem to be recovering fully now that I'm down to only one full time job, my writing career and promotional appearances. I know Behler will continue to flourish as one of the fastest rising publishing houses in the industry. I love Fred and Lynn Price at Behler like family and I will continue my professional relationship with them as both a consultant and a Behler author (and who knows what the future could bring...)
Which brings up the next subject. I am delighted to announce that Behler Publications will be publishing MOONSPELL, Book 1 of The Moonsword Trilogy, which will be an expanded, revised (and reedited) version of the 2004 Spectrum Award nominee, Moonsword. Look for Moonspell this fall (2005). It is the only authorized edition of this book.
You can enjoy my sci-fi poem, "The Flight of a Wild" in the online edition of Apex Digest (just follow the link above under poems). Also, Apex is giving away a signed copy of Empress of Clouds to a lucky subsciber to the print edition of the magazine.
Other soon to be published works include my story, "The Confessions of Frankenstein(Girl)" in Transgender Tapestry #108 (April/May 2005) bringing a whole new interpretation to the Frankenstein legend. Also, my story/novella, "The Locket" will be published in a new anthology from Double Dragon Publishing in May. I believe the book will be called Transmorphosis. I'll give you all more details on these two projects as we get closer.
Otherwise, I'm working on the rewrites for Moonspell and my first draft of the final book in the Moonsword Trilogy, to be titled, The Silver Light. I have a few other projects cooking too which I'll let you know about soon.
