Been wondering about the activities of your favorite author? Well, I can't help you there, but here's what I've been up to...
Hey gang! I apologize for not being more forthcoming with info on my activities. I thought I should give you, my fans, an update on what’ve been up.
Well, if you haven’t read any of the other updates, here’s the deal, my Moonsword Trilogy is in publishing limbo. After years of fighting, the original publisher (read scam publisher) who first published Moonsword finally gave up, stopped fighting and returned all rights to me. That edition is completely out of print. My deal with Behler Publications to publish a new edition of that book fell through, and so, I’m left with a trilogy where the first book isn’t available. I am actively seeking literary representation for Moonsword, but it will probably be a tough sell with the second book in the series being locked up for another three years by Behler. By that same logic I have taken a break from Tolian’s adventures which would have concluded in volume three. If I can find a new publisher for Moonsword, I will resume work on the third book of the trilogy. Believe me, I do understand that this sucks for readers who enjoyed the first two books. There is nothing that would make me happier than to be able to publish the complete trilogy. I worked really hard on those books, I know there are a few people out there that truly love them, and I want more than anything to finish the tale. I am sorry that things haven’t worked out as of yet. No one is more upset about the languishing fate of the trilogy than me.
In other news I have completed the research for my next book, which will be something a little different for me. I have spent the last six months in extensive research on Thomas Jefferson, who will play a major role in my next novel, a paranormal thriller. Late last month we (my wife Liz and I) capped off my research by visiting Jefferson’s beloved home, Monticello in Charlottesville, Virginia, and some sites in Washington, D.C.. I fell in love with the rolling hills of Albemarle County, VA. As a little tease, I will tell you that the character Rebbeca Haines from my novella, The Locket (available in the Transsexual Anthology) will make a special guest appearance in the new novel. I’m very excited about this story, and have been writing at a very brisk pace. I anticipate completing work on it this summer and beginning the quest to find an agent to represent it.
Otherwise, I hope you are all well, and I thank you for supporting me and my literary efforts. If you have any questions, please always feel free to contact me.
