Revenge of the Pun, my 3rd release, has won a Silver Medal for Best in Humor by Foreword Reviews Magazine.

This news comes on the heels of winning a Bronze Medal at the 2011 IPPY Awards. The IPPY's are hosted at Book Expo by Independent Publisher Magazine, selecting outstanding self-published books in 90 categories.

Reviews have been very favorable!  Available through Lulu.com as a paperback, an e-book ,and it's just been released for the I-Bookstore.

"Revenge of the Pun!" is a collection of single frame cartoons based on puns. To make it clear right up front, I am a serious fan of puns and often finding myself making them all of the time, even occasionally when they might not be exactly appropriate, so jumped at the offer when given a chance to review this book. 

The author, Barry Corbett, is a freelance cartoonist who's work has appeared in several major magazines. This collection of some 180 cartoons is packed full of puns, some that hit me square on and really tickled my funny bone, while a few others took me a bit to "get". 

This is a great quick read that lends itself to being picked up and read (or re-read) at a any place in the book. It is also appropriate for all age groups, which is a welcome change these days. 

Recommended! "Revenge of the Pun!" is a sequel to Embrace the Pun, which I have not yet read.
