Those of you who know me personally, know that my favorite writing subjects are directly connected to inspirational and uplifting stories.  I discovered the website nanowrimo.com, where authors/writers are urged to write a complete novel within the month of November.  The novel should be a minimum of 50,000 words, and can be on most subjects..  The idea is to start with a fresh idea, and just take off....plot, characters, and storyline will just develop as you type... Since I am on a business/personal trip in Tennessee this month, and busy with meetings and signings, I didn't think I'd be able to fit this in.  However, being in my room at night alone, gave me the idea to just go for it!   In one week, I have exceeded the 50,000 minimum, and still will have to write another 5-10K words in order to bring the ending together!  It has been so much fun, and editing and correcting is not in the cards for most of us...the point is to just write and go with it...it's also amazing to me how a storyline can just pop into my head and altho I planned on going in a particular direction, it just took over on it's own... This is a wonderful way to create...  The thing is that the novel may not be close to being ready for publishing by the end of the month, but the act of writing in a short time line can be a challenge that we welcome.  Obviously the story I am writing will need so much editing and correcting, but I believe I just may have a cool manuscript for possible publishing after a bit..
