Texas Commission on the Arts!

TCA has opened up the call for nominations for Texas State Poet Laureate, Musician, Visual Arts 2-D, Visual Artist 3-D. TCA oversees the nomination process for the four positions, created by S.B. 1043 of the 77th Legislature, and we would appreciate your help in  getting the word out about this opportunity. If you know of a qualified candidate, please make a nomination.

Deadline for receipt of nominations is October 5, 2008.

The Texas Poet Laureate, Stae Musician, Visual artist 2-D, Visual Artist 3-D Committee members are selected by the Governor, Lt Governor, Senate and House of Representatives. The Final decisions will be made in early 2009.
