The 55th Annual Pacific Northwest Writers Association conference in Seattle was a resounding success. The workshops, special speakers, and teachers were first rate. Networking with fellow writers was easy and fun. Writers are so supportive of each other: generous with information, praise and encouragement.

    As you know, I was one of eight finalists in the Adult Short Topics category. My entry was a short memoir based on our adopted daughter's homecoming. You can read it on my Authors Den site. Stories: "Angels Come in Many Sizes."

     Although I didn't take first through third place, I was fortunate to be in the company of talented writers from all over the world. Yes, PNWA's literary contest is international

    The high points, for me, of the three day conference were when an agent asked for my entire manuscript and an editor requested my book proposal and chapters. It just doesn't get any better than that!

    No guarantees that my non-fiction piece will be published soon, but I'm ready to take the first step. Thank you for your interest and encouragement.
