Well, I can officially announce that the first printing of books for Sally the Travelin' Saddle is gone!

I've been busy visiting schools, reading the story, and leaving bookmarks. Children love Sally, her story, and taking selfies with her.  My website has had more views this month than ever before, and the month isn't over yet. I'm beginning to feel that I am that much closer to living my dream as a children's book author, and nothing makes me happier than visiting schools and reading to children. My husband told me Friday night that I light up when I talk about Sally readings. That's enough affirmation for me that I am on the right track with my Texas Festivals Series.

Children want to buy Sally and her book, which means as well as writing, I am beginning the daunting task of handmaking numerous Sally replicas to sell with the book, although the first few replicas might serve a different purpose... marketing at its best!

Keeping busy has its pluses.
