Although this book starts a little slow I found it an enjoyable and not too demanding read. This book would be appropriate for anyone from middle school age and older. The book is about the land of Shavron and the people as they struggle to maintain their faith and to resist an aggressive people. The characters are all interesting and unique animals. I highly recommend this book.
