A local nurse and an American trooper cross paths in the middle of a presidential exile; what does fate have in store for them?

Nicole, young and ambitious, struggles to put herself through nursing school and finally achieves her long-awaited dream of becoming a certified nurse. She lands a full-time nursing job and is about to get her own apartment; things couldn’t be better. But her winning streak gets cut short when President Aristides goes into exile, and chaos erupts in every corner of Haiti.

As she stays locked in, losing hope one day after the other, a wounded soldier shows up at her door. She is hesitant to let him in until he collapses, and Nicole has to drag the soldier in. She is confident that the zinglendo gangs are looking for him and Nicole has to use her wits to keep them both safe.

The stranger is Commander Ryan Walker, who was deployed to Haiti but has rich ties with the country. Amid life-threatening situations and even with the language barrier, Nicole and Ryan fall in love.

Just when Ryan is about to return to the US, he finds out that Nicole is pregnant and can’t leave her behind. So he seeks asylum for Nicole and his unborn child – a move that leads them to a whole new course of events that will try their survival, patience, and even morality. Click here
