On January 16th, Fantasy Book Critic published its 2008 Review/2009 Preview a yearly recap of the best in fantasy novels released in 2008. The Categories include:

Top 5 Science Fiction Books
Top 5 Fantasy Books
Top 5 Mainstream Fantasy Books
Top 5 Notable Indie Books
Top 5 Notable Non-Mainstream Non-Fantastic Books

The Crown Conspiracy made the Top 5 Notable Indie Books. In addition, Michael's second book Avempartha (due April 2009) has made the "Looking Ahead to 2009" List.
