Dear Friend:

The Institute for daily living was established with a view of reaching out to anyone and everyone who is interested in connecting with others who are focused on living an abundant life. This is our birthright as people; yet it escapes many of us. Working together to share ideas, hopes and dreams; I believe we can inherit the earth in a way that God meant for us to enjoy it. Please join me each week for Scripture, Videos, Poetry, Music, Ideas, Books, Workshop Opportunities, Travel to Exotic locations etc. Our goal is  to increase our experience of the many gifts that have been provided for us, as  we benefit from the activities of the Institute for Daily Living.

Growing love is like growing anything else. It requires tender loving care.  However, if you are controlled by fear, it is impossible to grow love, because the two cannot abide in the same place at the same time. And as you…”Turn your gaze inward toward the love of God; it will correct your inner vision and your whole world will change because you will see through the lenses of love”.

God provides for us Grace which is unconditional love. That means even if we have not been made perfect in love because of our own behaviors, we are still covered in Grace. We may not appear to be deserving of God’s love, but we have it from moment to moment. We did not do anything to get it; God did it for us.

When babies are born they do not know anything about love, but love grew in them as they began to experience it from those around them. As time goes by, for some children, the unconditional love seems to go away. That’s because those who parent, may not have been taught to parent with love; and they punish with mixed messages. They begin to send messages of hate and fear to their children and the children begin to develop the fear and hate as a way of life. The unconditional love that they experienced at birth has turned into “let’s fight; you think that you are a man/woman; I brought you into the world I will take you out; you need to be seen and not heard; do as I say not as I do; I deserve respect, but you are a child I don’t have to respect you…………..etc.”

The following scenario is different from the one described before, because when children learn that a parent or significant other may dislike a certain behavior they have, but love them unconditionally, they begin to learn what Grace is about. “To those who have more, more will be given.” And that includes love. As the child begins to feel the fullness of your love, they begin to love themselves more. “Children learn what they live”.- Anon. People will give you as much love as you will permit. You will permit love only to the extent that you believe you deserve it. So, if your life is without love today, think about this. How are you using the echoes from the past to control where you are today?

Many adults today are still walking around with fear and hate in their hearts. They learned that fear in childhood and the echoes of those old messages still dominate their unconscious mind. They will carry the pain until they begin to consciously accept the Grace of God and learn, from that place of unconditional love, that they are worthy of love.

Affirmations for the week:

1] Because God’s unconditional love covers me with Grace; I am supported in all the good that I do.

2] I reach out to others with my unconditional love and behold the Christ in everyone I meet.

3] I nurture the flame of love that will burst into a forest fire of passion for the work that I am here to do.

4] I surrender my all to the ever present power that is my constant support.

5] I am fully supplied by anything that I desire because Divine love brings me everything.

6] My perfect partner, friends, family members, work… bless my life every day.

Sunday March 6, 2011: Friendship Sunday ~ Join us for Divine Love Celebration and bring a friend; 11:00 AM ~ 1:30 PM: Service, Music, Friendship, Food… in a beautifully appointed atmosphere. C Fisher made the comment this Sunday: “I like the intimacy and warmth of this place…” I thank her for that affirmation. Folks, we are building a community of people who feel loved and nurtured the moment they enter. Come share they joy.
