Poetry Adult 3rd place "Winds Unexpected"
Adult Essay 2nd place "Arkansas Artisan"
Adult Prose - children's short story "Being Red"
Adult Wild Card - a calligram (form of poetry) "The First Time"
At the encouragement of a good friend, I decided to enter the adult division of the four creative writing categories for the Sharp County Fair...a new experience for me.
It was a good opportunity to try out a recent calligram in the Wild Card category. It took 1st place!
My first children's short story (800 words) and an essay on an Arkansas artisan each took a 2nd place.
All in all, a happy experience. Add to that a 3rd in the adult poetry division with a new form I'm working on. I'm content and encouraged.
