Mid-South Poetry Festival 2016

Poetry

Pat Durmon of Mountain Home was the featured speaker at the Mid-South Poetry Festival October 1, 2016 sponsored by the Poetry Society of Tennessee.

Patricia A. Oplinger won 3rd Place in the Place and Time Award category and 1st HM in the Winklebeck Memorial category. Each poem is in free verse form.

Other Akansas winners were Fay Guinn of Jonesboro and Monterey Sirak of Melbourne.

The Mid-South Poetry Festival was well attended by members and poets from across several states on a fine Fall day in Memphis, Tennessee. Pat Durmon's speech was a welcome feature of the day.
