Australian author Cheryl Wright has received high scores in a high profile writing contest in the US.
Her entry "Arms of a Stranger" - a romantic suspense - has achieved a high score of 98 out of 100 possible points.
As a result of becoming a finalist in her category, Cheryl's entry will move into the final round, and will be judged by an editor or agent for her genre.
Final results will not be known until August (2004)
