It's always nice to break into a new market. This is my first article for the esteemed America's Civil War magazine. Drawing on the research I did for my book American Civil War Guerrilla Tactics, I take a new look at the infamous Bloody Bill Anderson, a Confederate bushwhacker who cut a bloody swath through Missouri. Bloody he certainly was, but he also proved himself to be a brilliant tactician who beat larger Union forces again and again.
