“Sunrise of Thought” by Bruce A. Humphrey is a deeply reflective and emotionally resonant poetry collection that explores the full spectrum of human experience. One of the most striking qualities of Humphrey’s work is its emotional range. I enjoyed reading all poems but poems titled as- ‘Want or Will’, ‘A Day in June’, ‘The White Dove’ and ‘To Touch the Sky’ instantly became my favourite.
Humphrey’s strength lies in his direct and accessible language. Rather than relying on overly complex poetic structures, he embraces clarity, allowing emotion to take center stage. This simplicity makes the collection approachable while still powerful, ensuring that readers from all backgrounds can connect with its message. “Sunrise of Thought” ultimately succeeds as a work of reflection and emotional honesty—one that invites readers to pause, question, and reconsider their place in a rapidly changing world.
