While The World Sleeps… 

Mankind reaps what it sows

With everything the weather throws

Winter hails in arctic snows

To a standstill the economy slows

Waiting for gritters to grit the roads

While summer temperatures

Are now hot enough

To melt the roads

As the world sleeps

Tides creep

Glaziers crash

Floods lash

Polar bears

Can no longer feed

Penguins

Can no longer breed

And seal pups drown

In the arctic meltdown

And for next season

What will we have ?

A wash-out

Or a drought ?

The met office will offer us

A precise forecast

No doubt !
