DREAM, that all War Veterans alive, walking, crawling or pushed, descend one and the same day over Washington and park all around Congress, disrupting traffic with a million men and women, in a sit down until their demands are satisfied once and for all with a iron clad law that even a money corrupt President and his cronies can’t touch.
They can't arrest one million, can they? not in front of all worlds TV cameras showing amputees soldiers, old forgotten ones, homeless soldiers, infirm ones from war’s effects that the Pentagon denied its causes ever happened, the GOP will have a hard time explaining as the media frenzy would go on telling the rest of the world how nice is the American Dream?

A backlog of 1.000.000 Veteran claims?
Divide them with 50 US States = down to 20.000 claims per State.
Each US State will open 10 VA offices manned with 10 unemployed but educated Veterans each. (100 new post of full employment)
Down to 2.000 claims per VA office.
Each employee work load = 250 working days, at 4 claims per week = 208 claims X 10 = 2.008 claims per year per office.
State wise 20.080 claims processed per year.
Country wise 1.040.000 claims processed in 250 working days that are 40.000 more than VA's backlog.
First, say that for the sake of argument, it will take 500 working days, it can be done. Today takes four years for a Veteran claim & appeal to ever move an inch, and that if it moves at all, it will take years or never to do so, if we let our VA domestic little tsars get away with it (we have done it for so long…)
Second, unemployed Veterans can have a job where they know what they talk about and the "money on the dole" like they like to call, will be put in good use and give a little more dignity to the men and women that served.
Third, All the Administrative structure of the VA will be revised by a panel of high rang officers (I am volunteering) with the top VA echelon dismissed forthwith in suspicion of power and/or economical corruption of Veterans fund malfeasance, and the rest of the actual employees, in probation with no guarantees of no dismissal when the fiscal year ends.
I just followed orders will be not accepted as an excuse to callously dismiss a Veteran's claim.
The time as come for the War Veterans to take matters in their own hands.
In a country that gives bodyguards to the likes of a gimme-gimme more oil Cheney and take the bread and bandages away of the Veterans, maybe the soldiers that got the fortune to come back from the field at all should have the right to shake all the corrupt political system and their lobbyists.
