Folklorist Gary R. Varner has released two new books recently. The first book is the second edition of the biography of Charles G. Leland, author of several 19th century works including Aradia: Gospel of the Witches. The second is Ancient Footprints: Cultural Diffusion in Pre-Columbian America.
Both of these titles are currently available from Amazon.com. Ancient Footprints will also be available as a Kindle edition in the next few days.
Like all of Varner's books, these are fully illustrated, indexed and all references cites.
Ancient Footprints explores evidence of ancient contacts with cultures from the Orient and Old World Europe with indigenous cultures of North America and suggests that not all "myths" are without a historical basis.
