The most comprehensive source of information about Val Wake, the author, is now available on line.
In a bid to improve sales around the world Val Wake commissioned a Port Macquarie website designer to construct his own website.
Val Wake, author and adventurer, is the result of more than six weeks work gathering material.
"After living on three continents and at more than 20 different addresses during our married life it was a bit of challenge getting it all together" says Val Wake speaking from his Australian home at Port Macquarie half way between Sydney and Brisbane.
Web designer, Zoe Pogonowski, came up with the idea for an "adventures page." At first Val admits he had difficulty getting his mind around the idea.
Then he recalled his attempts to reach the North Pole, the family's car trips across North America, living in the Arctic, hitch hiking through Europe after the war and even climbing Australia's highest mountains.
" I had never really thought of them as adventures before. I saw them more as part my job. During the early part of our married life we did take a few risks. We almost ended up sleeping on the beaches at Nice when we ran out of money," says Val.
The new website lists four books by Val. However not all of them are immediately available.
No Ribbons or Medals and White Bird Black Bird can be bought online but My Voyage around Spray and When the Lions are Drinking will not be available for a couple of months.
