Concerned with the ever present issues of pollutants harming our ocean and eco-systems, P.A. Zimmerman has donated several copies of her book, Olivia''s Magic Conch to the Smithsonian Marine Station Sea Way Drive, Fort Pierce Fl. to help raise money through awareness of this problem.
This beautiful hands-on facility is a magnificent way to learn and study the mechanics of our eco-systems used throughout the United States. Donations are neccesary to keep it up and running.
Having written a present day fable that interlaces fact with fantasy,aimed at the youth of today, Zimmerman weaves an adventure that deals with the simple things we can do to protect and preserve our oceans and beaches. The message does not need to come off strong;the story line awakens enthusiasm in all, to participate in the preservaton. Ensuring future
generations will derive all that we do in sustenance,science,marine biology and pleasure.
