One month after being released to the public as an ebook, “Don’t Ask and I Won’t Have to Lie” continues its best seller status in the Amazon Kindle store in the Aging category.  

The ebook, according to baby boomer author Beverly Mahone, explores the lies women tell--the subjects they lie about, why they do it and the role aging plays in the process.  Beverly describes the book as a "straight-forward, truth-telling therapy session" that includes a lie she told that nearly cost her life.  

The North Carolina author credits social media networking sites like Facebook and Twitter for her book’s successful run.  "So far I’ve received several 5-star reviews and although the book is about the lies women tell, men tell me they are reading it too and gaining some insight.”  

As Beverly explains, the book is not meant to defend anyone’s need to fib, but it may help readers understand the reasons behind some of the untruths they hear. 

This is Beverly’s second Amazon best seller.  Her very first book, “Whatever! A Baby Boomer’s Journey Into Middle Age” made the list in 2007.

The digital version of “Don’t Ask and I Won’t Have to Lie” was officially released to the public on Amazon on April 14, 2012.
