OLD School bands with NEW School videos

Excerpt from The Rockstar Ramblings:

This week a look at new videos from Ugly Kid Joe, Chris Holmes (W.A.S.P.), Izzy Stradlin (ex-Guns N’ Roses), and Great White; for those keeping a timeline at home, Ugly Kid Joe would be considered the “new” band of this group.

Reunited rockers Ugly Kid Joe have released the latest video from their comeback EP 'Stairway To Hell', for the single "I'm Alright.” We start with a dapper man getting dressed and sitting down to enjoy a night of solitary drinking and (presumably) a Hungry Man’s feast. On the television the gentleman viewer seems to enjoy cowboys and ninjas. He also enjoys drinking which is good because the song is essentially about getting hammered in the dark. The TV displays crazy looking wrestlers and then there are more cowboys. At 2:00 the song (in classic UKJ fashion) slows down and now we are watching the Home Shopping Network and then, AND THEN (catch my breath) THE HOST IS TOPLESS! Other devilish characters also appear and now they are no longer on television, but hanging out (and in the case of topless tattooed girl, caressing) the alone dapper guy. What initially looked like a warning against drinking alone has quickly turned to a reason why we should all go out, buy a bottle of Patron, go home, get annihilated, and get laid by topless tattooed HSN girls…

Chris Holmes finally takes over on the microphone on his new single and video "They All Lie And Cheat.” The song will appear of the former W.A.S.P. guitarist's upcoming CHP solo album 'Nothing To Lose.’ Having your name and the title of your upcoming album floating around at the start of the video is strange. However, I do like the initial guitar solo, looking (and sounding) like a tribute to sleeveless jean jackets. Around 1:00 Holmes begins singing. I made it to 1:05, anyone else make it longer?
