Your book represents you more than you think 12/11/2013 — Issue # 1 ________________________________________ Believe it or not, in public speaking, 57 percent of communication is body language, 36 percent is facial language, while only 7 percent is verbal (our actual words). However, the written word represents you in your absence.  In other words, 93 percent of how we communicate with others is non-verbal! :) Good or not so good, every author wants to think that his mother’s soup is the best. (You know what I mean!) However, if all authors in the world were rated A, then we would definitely have lost our sense of judgment. Right? Of course we as authors have a passion for what we do, and our editors and publishers want to put out the best product into the market place and be proud of ‘em. When you do things right, people notice. For instance, for the 2nd year in a row, I have been named best author of the year in my local community of highly educated Toast Masters who are seasoned readers and some famous writers; so, I strive to live up to the expectation and standards of quality that I can always be proud of. Who said looks don’t matter definitely lied.  If you build it, they will come; so, be very well prepared in your public appearances; for what they see matters even more than what they hear or read in your novels. Some will like you at first site, others will not! Some come with an image in mind of what they expect you to look like, because they’ve been paying their hard earned dough and reading your works for years, so you must somehow impress them every which way.
