Even though the rain and dark clouds created a snails pace for the home bound traffic, the ride after a long Friday was still a pleasure. Very few cars for some reason were on the roads.
Red tail lights glared through out the increasing rain. The intensity strengthened without warning causing a swirling action in all directions, blowing gusts of winds rocked the cars in both directions first sideways then up and finally down.
Automatically the visibility dropped below zero slowing down even the few cars on the road, until finally all movement stopped. That didn't prevent the pounding each car received by the increasing gale winds. The rains forced itself upon the cars with such force that this effectively reduced the high speed whipping action of the windshield wipers.
