Finally.

Sally has waited a week to receive the proof of Sally the Travelin' Saddle.

The proof arrived yesterday, and Sally is truly one happy saddle--as you can see by the picture. No contest to accepting this beautiful proof. Kids will love Sally's Texas Cinderella story--minus the Prince Charming.

It's been a lengthy process. Now I understand why it takes so long for publishers to get a book out to the world. The publishing process of my first book, from acceptance to print, took well over a year. I wasn't given the choice to print it in hardcover, and I was disappointed by that.

Sally the Travelin' Saddle is my first hardcover picture book and I am thrilled with it! It looks beautiful! The best part is that it will be available to school libraries and bookstores worldwide.

I've had several Pre-Orders already, and Sally is adding travelin' selfies to the Click here It's not as difficult to put myself out there when there's a puppet involved--no doubt that's how Jeff Dunham feels, also. People actually respond quite well to taking Sally Selfies, too!

I am so excited about Sally, and we are having a terrific time building interest in her book. Three school visits have been scheduled for September. The release date is set for September 1. Plans for media coverage are in the works for the next couple of weeks.

This has to be the most fun I've had with one of my books in a long time!

This is what writing is all about!

It's not about Amazon rankings and making a fast buck. Fiction writing is about entertaining the readers.

Marketing shouldn't be a chore; it should be fun.

Writing, if you love it, should be fun, too.
