Dear Friends and Family,

The highlight of the year was a month-long RV trip to Glacier National Park this summer. We loved camping in Glacier's three largest campgrounds: Apgar on the west side, on the shore of the icy cold 11-mile Lake McDonald and Two Medicine and Many Glacier on the east side.

Two Medicine with its majestic mountains and beautiful wild flower lined trails was our favorite. Many Glacier campground was the best place to view moose, deer and bear.

The scenery of the 50-mile Going-to-the-Sun road was spectacular. Hiking to view the clear blue water at Hidden Lake at Logan Pass and viewing the three beautiful waterfalls tumbling down the mountains at St. Mary's Lake were the highlights.

We also enjoyed camping and viewing the bison and unusual red rock formations, yellow mounds and sculptured spires in the Bad Lands of North and South Dakota.

After driving over five thousand miles we had a towed home when Bud's truck's transmission went out about 30 miles from our house. We were fortunate.

We also enjoyed camping and hiking the beaches at Fort Pickens National Park and St. Joseph State Park in Florida this spring and camping and canoeing with friends around Florida and Georgia.

On January 1, 1016 Bud's mother will turn 100. We're looking forward to celebrating it with her along with family and friends.

Bud was to have rotator cuff surgery on his left shoulder in early September. Unfortunately the MD was not able to do the surgery as his rotator cuff had disintegrated. He's now doing physical therapy to strengthen the arm but will not have full use of it again.

We're both officially retired: We sold out rental house after 10 years in the rental house business this year and I've stopped writing Amazon.com Vine Voice book and merchandise reviews. Fifteen years and over 300 reviews for free stuff is enough.

This has been a big year for home and land improvements: Four large pines and a huge poplar were cut down near the house for safety reasons.

We stained the stairs, painted the upstairs bathroom and put in new sinks and cabinets in both bathrooms.

Bud continues to enjoy serving as president of Georgia's "Friends of High Falls State Park" along with his other hunting, civic and conservation activities.
