Michele Breza, author of the children's Christmas book, "the Star", has received a Silver Medal in the 2016 Illumination Book Awards in the category of Holiday Books. "the Star" is published by Diamanda Publishing.
"the Star" will be exhibited at the Bologna International Children's Book Fair in Bologna, Italy, in April 2016; as well as, at Book Expo America in Chicago, IL, in May 2016; and then at the American Library Associations Annual Conference in Orlando, FL, in June 2016.
The awards are designed to honor and bring increased recognition to the year’s best new titles written and published with a Christian worldview.
This year's Illumination Award medals went to books from the United States, Canada, and New Zealand. The diversity of Christian publishing was also demonstrated by the fact that winners came not only from long-established publishers, but also from small presses and self-published authors.
Breza commented on receiving the award, "I am very grateful and humbled with this award. I give thanks to God for continually directing my every step to do His Will and be His servant to spread the Good News with my book, 'the Star'."
In 2016, it is projected that "the Star" will be brought to more children with world-wide circulation, an audio book, and a coloring book; as well as, other products to engage children to journey with this tiny star as it discovers it is destined to participate in the most wonderful Christmas event!
