Here is a summary of the story:

Set in the majestic Carpathian Mountains, this epic features Prince Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler) as he defends Transylvania against the invading Ottoman Empire.  In the midst of the struggle, he meets the stunning Willomina, his future queen.

However, treachery abounds, from the wealthy merchants of his own kingdom to greedy former allies, and even Vlad's own family cannot be trusted.  Against overwhelming odds his small army begins to push back the invaders, only to have personal tragedy lead Vlad into a downward spiral that results in his damnation and begins his dark journey as the historic Count Dracula.
