The National Parents Organization awarded Minnesota attorney/author Thomas James its annual award for shared parenting research.

The National Parents Organization (NPO) announced the winners of the 2025 Ned Holstein Shared Parenting Research Awards on April 26, 2026. Thomas James, Cokato minnesota attorney and author of "The History of Custody Law" was a recipient of the award for his article, "Child Custody Presumptions: From Fault and Gender to Equal Time," which was published in the Georgia State University Law Review in April, 2026.
