Holy smoke, I had no idea. I just found this out; I am a "critically acclaimed" writer.
I was talking to a friend of mine today. A fellow who had recently left a position as a CBS reporter. I was telling him about my book, and like any good news hound he started asking me lots of questions. Somewhere during my interrogation I mentioned that my book, Fruit of a Poisonous Tree, had received two nice reviews, one from a former librarian and online book reviewer and the other from the, soon to be bestselling author, E. L Burton. To which my friend says, "Wow. So you are now critically acclaimed." "Say what?' was my response. I had always wondered how one reached the status of "critical acclaim" so now I know.
So that's it. The only thing this young author could come up with for a news story. I have reached critical mass before, that was easy, but never, in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would reach critical acclaim. I was so proud that I went out and bought a box of cigars. You know, to pass out like I had a baby or something?
