I invite you and all to go on this exciting and sometimes fustrating journey with me. Getting published is proving to be much more difficult than I thought it would be. I mean, I didn't expect it to be easy, but I also didn't expect it to be, 1st off all, expensive and 2nd, sometimes very discouraging. Maybe we can all learn something on my adventure. Also I am trying something new...check it out.. thanks friends :)

This Child's Silent Cry
by Rhonda Marie Hayman

Tuesday, January 24, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, this is very personal. I have written numerous poems about my experiences but this is the first to be posted, about this anyways.

Love and beauty
don't always go hand in hand
Flowers don't always mean
fresh and lovely smells
A man by your side doesn't
stand for safety and security
Your hair covering your eyes
doesn't mean that people can't see you
Life happens
Sometimes too fast to see
but never to fast to feel
No guarantees to be seen here
No sureity that you won't suffer
Noone really stops the men that
demean you and hurt you
Inflict their will on you
Take what you should only ever give
and at an age appropriate
They are free to do it
Over and Over
You can't hide
They always find you
Go to your corner
Quiet as a mouse
But you aren't invisable
The night finds you again
And so does he
No love
No beauty
No peace
No lovely smells
But he says he loves you
But you can't tell anyone
They can't ever know
You can't stop the ugliness
Noone seems willing to stop it for you
What can you do
You scream in your head all day long
You cringe
You shiver
Your mind is exhausted
Your biggest fear becomes the night
No love and beauty found there
No fresh smelling flowers
You cry and cry
Why is God punishing you
You pray and pray asking
his forgiveness again and again
Save me, Save me
You said you loved the little children
Where are you God
You have forgotten me
Then the nightmares come
The monsters hiding outside
in the dark trees
Waiting for you
Attacking others in your stead
Ripping off their heads throwing
them to the ground
Screeching and growling for you
Every night is a new chapter
It continues like a drawn out story
You can't walk outside at night anymore
You can't walk under trees.
You love trees
But now they are your enemy
No love or beauty here
One day you have had your fill
Your heart is broken
It can't take anymore
The pressure is overwhelming
Your body gives out
You fall to the floor in a dead faint
In the middle of school
your in the floor
They make you confide in them
and take you home
Home finds you no peace
No answers
He will stay
Everyone loves him so
What about me??
What about me??
He's left to try it again
You say no more
But now you have no home
Your so young and alone
Your mother says she loves you
Love and Beauty
don't always go hand in hand

here's another

Being Me
by Rhonda Marie Hayman

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A small difinition of myself. The things that I love

I see
Sun rays that blind you,
split the sky wide
Pillowy clouds on baby blue
sunsets with every color floating behind
saying "look at me"
running springs calming, with the deer and bear coming to drink
Raccoons and squirrels, cute as can be
Snowy mountain tops, cool white
Tall pines that touch the heavens,
pine cone falling from high above
Breath that fresh clean air
I hear & read
Stories of long ago past with
sword fighting
ax swinging,
long haired men.
Standing tall and strong on the
helm of a dragon ship
Or sitting proud and confidant atop
a big prancing stallion
Indian warriors fighting proud
for what's theirs
Living clean and simple
taking only what they need
I dream
of running in the jungle with
a big beautiful tiger
Looking into its intense eyes
running hands over its awesome coat
feeling its strength and power,
its magnificance
Loving its beauty and freedom
Crying for what it is loosing
Sitting in the forest with a big grizzly bear
I love
playing with the kids,
laughing, carefree
sweet hugs goodnight
smiling faces come morning
putting words together,
that might make someone smile
or think, give entertainment
insight to something or
someone outside of yourself
these are the things that
make my life real
The reason I continue being me

one more, maybe 2

Missing Home
by Rhonda Marie Hayman

Tuesday, October 04, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I miss home..Ruidoso, N.M.
Europe too! I don't like the
never ending heat..
If only it didn't cost so much to move
But I bare it as I must.

It's cloudy today
No sun to be seen
The humid air lays heavy
Pressing, closing in to sufficate
The trees are still
No breeze to be felt
The dry ground looks lifeless
I should be saying 'thanks'
The sun isn't pounding down today
Killing everything in its wake
But this never ending heat
It just won't go away
Whether cloudy or sunny
It takes your breath away
But that is Texas
What do I expect

To be on my mountain today
Feel the air cooling
Going from summer to fall
See the pines changing
Needles falling
Gentle breezes swaying the
surrounding giants
The bears foraging
Preparing for the snows
Squirrels scamping around
Gathering their acorns
Quiet, Peaceful
And the air...
Light
Easy to breath
Not suffocating

Ohh..to be sitting with my Grandmother
In front of the fireplace
Sipping cocoa
Watching the changes going on outside
Seeing the winter coming on
that makes the summer bareable
You can hear the woods whispering
all aound you
It's seasons changing
Mother nature at work

Sands of Time

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My idea oh how it should be..
we can all dream..
if only..if only..
'with a sigh!!'

Whither thou goest
I shall go
I follow thy footprints
Like sands of time on my soul.
I tread eagerly towards
our destination
For I knowest that we are destined
That our souls are intwined, meshed
together as though we are the very air
around us.

You speakest from thy perfect lips
Whisper my name to the wind
I am ever near
Thy eyes speakest to me from
whether near or far
I follow ever closer
Our love is but an imprint on time
Ever seeking that place just ours

One touch of thy hand
the breifest brush of skin on skin
A slight kiss from thy lips
I am molten lava from within
Your love completes me

Destiny calls us ever nearer
Though time shall test us
People will be there to break us apart
Though Hell may march upon us
I shall follow thee
Go whither thou goest

Even though the sands of time
continue to fall
Our love is ever sure
Speeding with swiftness
To our destiny

I hope you enjoy these. They are my latest.
Sands of Time will be published next month.
I also have another book out right now on cyberwit. They aren't expensive. Anyone interested just let me know.
Thanks to everyone who reads and comments on my work. I appreciate your caring.

Love to all,

Rhonda Marie Hayman
