Greetings, everyone!

It's odd, you know. How busy you can be without actually producing a finished product that you can show to the wide world as evidence of your industry. lol

Lately, it's been that way around here!

As the mercury rises here on the eastern edge of a Sonoran cow pasture, I have been spending time indoors, researching, editing, and writing.

My research, most recently, has taken me in a virtual way to Norway, to the community of Balestrand. I don't want to give away the plot of the historical novel, but rest assured, Readers, that my characters are going to an historically accurate location to resolve several conflicts and get into some serious trouble. I so enjoy adding reality to my work! It makes it incredibly enjoyable.

And besides, I adore research!

I am also in the process of interviewing realtors for another book I'm writing, and the interview process is fascinating. Hearing the reality behind a preconceived plot is a novel experience – no, the pun wasn't really intended, but...it works!

I am currently involved in compiling and editing a terrific project for the Small Press Association. (http://www.dimestoreproductions.com/forum) It involves receiving submissions on comic conventions, shaping them up, and producing a finished book that will be available online and hardcopy. Look for Clueless at the Con in late July!

My romance, Garrison's Girl, is being published by Publish America. I hope to see it available for sale by the end of this year. More details as they develop! It's a terrific story of forgiveness and love, with the added delight of a teenager's narrative voice to bring humor to her parents' lives.

Another book is currently being considered by a small publishing house to begin their inspirational romance line. If this indeed works out, you'll read about it first, right here!

Something new?

I have never entered a writing contest before. Okay, not since sixth grade, anyway. However, one was brought to my attention, so I have entered a brand new story, "Turn of the Wheel," in a Celtic writing contest. I should be able to share this story with you this autumn, after the contest has concluded. Before then, the rules state that any entries may not be published anywhere. One must abide by rules!

Well...that's it for right now. My toddler, Scooter, is informing me that it's time for lunch, and he's right!
