Love.

In our language, we use this word to describe how we feel about a husband, wife or child; a best friend we grew up with in school; activities such as movies or baseball and foods such as pizza or ice cream.

The Greek word which describes God's love for us is Agape. Christ demonstrated His love for us when He died on the cross.

As Valentine's Day approaches, we are reminded of our love to one another. Sadly, I see selfish motives in today's dating world.

In today's culture, words like having fun, being open - minded, and casual dating have more than one meaning. Many individuals have misconceptions about sexual relations. I hear things like, "you have to live with someone to find out if you are compatible" to everyday phrases such as "friends with benefits" and "no strings attached." Why someone even had the indecency to say that the word "fornication" in the Bible didn't refer to pre - marital sex.

Everything we need to know about love and a healthy relationship is in the Bible. God's plan for sexual relations within a loving marriage is still the foundation today. No matter how much the world strays, doing it God's way allows for complete freedom to establish and maintain a loving and healthy relationship...and that is what being in love is all about!
