It's been a year. The Way Home has been available for one whole year now. It's hard to believe. I've also completed another year. And, while I usually try to ignore and forget, my birthday will still come tomorrow.

"So, what has happened in the last year and where are you going now, Paula," you might ask.

Glad you asked . . . The first two books in The For Hymn Mystery Series became available to the public in 2003. That's quite a feat for a first-time, unknown author! Only God could have been the driving force behind that.

And, I did several talks, school visits, and book signings. The reason those came off well had to also be from God, as I am really quite a reserved and private person.

Now, where do I go next with my writing? I am about 1/3 of the way through Book III - This I Know of the same mystery series. Jesus Loves Me is the song, as Kathleen's daughters are now missing. I will try to finish this by springtime. I'll keep you posted.

My daughter is continually asking, "What are you going to do after that?" Well, perhaps I could finish this series. Or, maybe I'll finish the first book in the new Bed and Breakfast series. Or, there are a bunch of ideas for children's picture books floating around in my brain and files. Guess we'll wait and see where God leads me next. Please pray with me for guidance in this and in all areas. He is directing my paths, and I will pray the same for you.

This month I'll be joining 150 authors from Publish America for a convention in Frederick, Maryland with a GIANT booksigning. At the booksigning on February 29th, we will be working to set a Guinness Book of World Records for the most authors at a booksigning at one time. Do you know someone in that area? Send them to visit with me and the many others at the Frances Scott Key Mall in Frederick. They're sure to find a genre that interests them with all of those authors present!

In the spring, another group of authors will join together in Dayton, OH for a booksigning. I'll let you know details as they become available.
