Happy May! Welcome to the nearly 50 new subscribers. Feel free to drop me an email anytime with questions, comments, or just to say, ‘hello’. It’s been fun hearing from several of you already! Thanks for helping me think up ways to celebrate my dog’s first birthday this month.

I had another fantastic time with the students from Southwest Licking Schools last month. There were three schools and about 110 kids and their teachers that shared a portion of their day with me. Many of these kids I’ve visited with before, but they still had amazing questions and remembered things that we had talked about from previous years. Wow! One class even spent their lunch time with me and taught me about ‘portals’. Thank you to the teachers for arranging your schedules for the visit and allowing me the chance to encourage and share the joy of reading and writing with them. The day after my school talks, I headed with a group of church friends back up to Columbus for the Women of Faith Conference. What a great experience! They have begun a conference for teenage girls now too. Revolve, for girls, will be in Columbus on September 8 – 9, 2006. If ever you have the chance, I encourage all women and girls to attend. You will be blessed.

It is out of this experience that God has moved me again. Funny how He does that! Anyway, I am trying my hand at writing a non-fiction piece. The title and basic outline have already been sketched out in my computer. The manuscript will feature this zoo at my house, formed out of my kids’ desire for pets, which has led me to new understandings about God and His relationship with us. I do ask for your prayers as I am entering unknown territories.
