Happy Veteran's Day!

Aren't the fall trees absolutely beautiful? This is the time of year the deer are really moving too. The kids and I saw a 6 point buck on the drive on our way to school this morning. He was so majestic standing there at the top of the hill. Of course, my son, the hunter, saw him in a different light.

Ok, friends . . . I've joined the ranks of MySpace and Facebook. If you'd like to be friends, let me know. It's been fun connecting with so many people, some from high school, college, my kids' school, church, etc. I'd love to hook up with you too! Teachers and groups needing a speaker . . . I'm booking talks, workshops, and visits now. Two schools have already contacted me - one for next spring! I really love meeting all of you and working with those kids!

Wanna hear something that really touched me this weekend? During my Mary Kay Open House, I had my book table out with all the books that I have stories in or have written. A couple of friends were here for facials and started talking about the characters and stories from the For Hymn Mysteries. It was cool because the books really made a positive impression on them. God really can use the talents He gave us for his work. Thanks, Reba and Cindy, for reminding me of that.

Speaking of which, thank you to everyone who responded to the e-book versus tangible book survey for the fourth and final book in that series. Guess what! It was a tie. So, since I don't want to publish that last book with the same publisher and another publisher will probably not take only one in a series, I am considering self-publishing it and making it available on the net. That means, it would be available in both forms for you - your choice. What do you think?

Update time: Thank you all for keeping me accountable by asking what I'm writing. Here is where everything stands now. I have several short stories out for anthologies' approval. There are also book proposals with publishers for picture books and a teen girls devotional.

As soon as I finish with this, I'm going to create the book proposal for the picture books I've written based upon my kids' lives. There are three of them, one for each child. "Let Me Feel Your Heartbeat" is the first. The books are the type that force you to stop and treasure each moment with your kids. As usual, I would be grateful for your prayers for all these projects.
